Damein Wash

Musician, Composer, Filmmaker...

Hailing from culturally rich Oxford, Wash has spent a lifetime pursuing music in the Southern gospel tradition. With the addition of classical training (BM in Choral Music Education & pursuing MM in Music Theory from the University of Mississippi), there is really nothing this troubadour can’t sing from choral, gospel, blues, jazz, rock, soul to funk. Wash is an avid performer, taking his music to cities across the United States and Europe. He is the frontman for the Oxford-based party band The Soul Tones. He is a member of Three Grand, a trio of performers under Skorman Productions of Orlando, Florida, which performs across the United States and Canada, primarily for large corporate events. Wash’s recordings and original scores have made their way into Hallmark films and the long-time running daytime drama, Young and the Restless. In recent work, Wash arranged and conducted Deep South Gospel for The Moonshine Music Co., a Sony subsidiary, which was featured on STARZ’s American Gods. Additionally, Wash's creative endeavors have forayed into film-making. His debut film, Two Headed Woman was released in 2019, and was an official selection of the Bill Johnson film festival in Gary, Indiana. Wash’s recent recording of “Oh, Freedom” will be featured in the New Orleans-based documentary Callioux.
